The Stuart Community Center offers four multi-purpose rooms, a meeting room, a standard basketball court (a divider breaks the gym into two sides), an outside playground, and an outside basketball pad. This community space is intended for birthday parties, showers, meetings, get-togethers, sports practices, etc.

Reservations must be made through the Parks and Recreation Office during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m by phone or in person. For optimal availability, reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance. Full payment is required at the time of reservation. Renters must be at least 18 years of age (ID may be required).

2024 Community Center Rental Costs

• Meeting/Multi-Purpose Rooms: Borough Resident: $15/hour; Non-Resident: $17/hour
• Half Gym Rental (A curtain is lowered to separate the two halves): Borough Resident: $35/hour; Non-Resident: $40/hour
• Full Gym Rental: Borough Resident: $50/hour; Non-Resident: $55/hour
• Kitchen: Borough Resident: $20 Flat Fee; Non-Resident: $23 Flat Fee

General Information:

• Include set-up and clean-up time in the hours you reserve. Cleaning supplies and trash bags are provided.
• Tables/Chairs are provided, but availability may be limited.
  • Gym: Renters must set-up/tear-down tables and chairs within the hours they have reserved.
  • Multi-purpose rooms: Staff will set up tables and chairs in advance.
• Some sports equipment (basketball, soccer, volleyball, pickleball) provided, but staff set-up/tear-down time may be added to your reservation.
• Renters must abide by the Rental Regulations and agree to the Waiver and Release. Clean-up: Renters shall remove all food and supplies, disinfect tables, clean the rental space, and take trash to the dumpster within their rental period. Trash bags and cleaning supplies are provided. 
• May NOT be rent for profit-making purposes (no selling food, products, or services)
• "The Second Monday Rule": To reserve multiple times a month, customers must wait until the second Monday to reserve the following month (no more than 2 hours/day or 1 day/week).
• ADA-accessible and plenty of free parking.
• Commercial Entertainment Equipment w/approved application only. Application
• Renters are responsible for the behavior of their guests.

General Rules/Policies

• Renters and guests who violate rules may lose the privilege of using Carlisle Parks and Recreation facilities in the future. This includes use of the Carlisle Community Pool.
• A $25 penalty + hourly fees will be assessed if a renter fails to clean up or leave the facility on time. Renters may lose future privileges for violations.
• Confetti, glitters, powder balloons, fog machines, grills, and pets are NOT permitted.
• Foul language, fighting, and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Center Supervisors have the authority to expel offenders.
• No cleats, spike heels, or wheeled shoes in the gym. Non-marking shoes only. Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, and hoverboards are not allowed.
• A limit of two appliances may be used in the Multi-Purpose rooms. Chafing dishes are permitted. No candles, except birthday candles.
• The building is open and a Center Supervisor is on duty only when there are scheduled events. Call (717)226-1562 if the building is not open 10 minutes prior to your rental.
• Gym renters who wish to play music during their event must rent the Full Gym. Music is also permitted in the Multi-Purpose Rooms. Music must be kept at a reasonable volume and lyrics must be "clean." 

Cancellation Policy

• Rental cancellations must be made at least seven days in advance. No payment will be refunded if cancellation is made less than one week prior to the reservation.
• A 10% administrative fee will be deducted from ALL REFUNDS.
