YMCA Decision
The Carlisle Borough Zoning Hearing Board will be offering an alternate opportunity for persons to telephone into the hearing if they are interested in providing testimony, or raise questions about the below application, which will be heard on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. at the municipal building, 53 W. South St., Carlisle, PA.  The Zoning Hearing Board will meet to consider the merits of:  

No. 2020-09 – Carlisle Family YMCA (311 S. West St.) requests a dimensional variance for relief for a proposed illuminated wall sign on its west, building façade.  The subject lot is zoned INS – Institutional.  As per S. 255-219.B.1 of the Zoning Ordinance, Institutional signs shall be limited to a maximum display area of 25 ft².  The proposed sign has a gross area of 120 ft², and a net area of 60 ft².

Please call between 6:10 p.m. and no later than 6:15 p.m. to queue yourself for the hearing.  You will be asked to give your name and address.  You will be allowed to speak at the appropriate time during the hearing.  Until such time, please mute your phone so as not to disrupt the hearing, or other participants, until your turn.  Also, it would be helpful to call Mike Skelly, beforehand to let us know of your interest in this option.
