Carlisle Borough Council will convene a Council Workshop Meeting on Wednesday, February 2 at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be conducted in person at 53 West South Street.
Zoom is also available and the meeting will be streamed to our Facebook page. If you would like to actively participate in the meeting but are unable to attend in person, register for Zoom using this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_vJJeOK7BTbulV60np2kJrw. You may also email the Borough Secretary, Joyce Stone (jstone@carlislepa.org) for the Zoom sign-in registration information required to attend the meeting. All emails must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2.

Carlisle Seal Discussion: Borough Council and staff will continue discussions on the Borough's seal and its potential redesign. Discussion on this topic first began in August of 2021. Money is set aside in the 2022 budget for this initiative.
Solid Waste and Recycling Goals for 2023 Services: The Borough's current solid waste and recycling contract will expire at the end of 2022. Staff is now working on developing a bid package for a new contract. The extent of the service options and content of the bid package will depend on the short-term and long-term goals of Borough Council, which will be discussed at this meeting. In addition to preparing a bid package for contracted services, staff is also exploring an option that would rely on Borough employees to provide solid waste and recycling services to Borough residents.
