Agenda Details

  • Sergeant Mark Brewbaker will be recognized by Borough Council. Sgt. Brewbaker is retiring after serving with the Carlisle Borough Police Department for 20 years!
  • Finance Director Richard Juday will give a fiscal status update for the first quarter of 2022.
  • There will be several appointments to our Boards and commissions. If you are interested in serving on a board or commission, we have plenty of openings!
  • George Ely & Associates will be presenting their designs for the replacement of Fort LeTort to Borough Council.
    • Background: The Carlisle Kiwanis Club conducted a safety audit in 2019 to assess the best option for refurbishing Fort LeTort. Following the assessment, rebuilding was determined to be the best option. Shortly after the audit, the pandemic hit, and the Carlisle Kiwanis Club put the project on hold. In 2021, the Kiwanis Club revived the Fort LeTort Playground Replacement as its 100-Year Anniversary Project. The scope of the project has shifted away from a community build in October of 2022 to a professional build in the spring of 2023. The Club is working with Ely and Associates, a Carlisle playground design firm. The Kiwanis Club will be fundraising to pay for the replacement.
    • Playground Design Renderings
  • Borough Council may adopt an ordinance establishing a temporary parking ban affecting certain Borough Streets in conjunction with Carlisle Production's schedule of events. This ordinance is passed yearly in the spring, before the first event at the fairgrounds. Read the Ordinance.
