Fall Brush Collection Begins Monday
The Borough of Carlisle’s annual fall brush collection program will begin on Monday, October 4, and run through Friday, October 8. During the collection period, residents may place their brush and yard waste curbside for collection on their regularly scheduled trash collection day.
Brush collected includes trees, shrubs, and similar trimmings or parts. No leaves, garden waste, or grass clippings will be collected during this period. Residents wishing to participate in the program should leave their brush curbside on their designated trash collection day in accordance with the following requirements:
- Bind brush with string or twine in lengths of 40 inches or less
- Smaller twigs and branches may be placed in metal or plastic trash cans which will be emptied and returned to the curb
- Brush which is over six inches in diameter will not be collected.
The Borough’s Post Road Compost Facility is also open for Borough residents to drop off brush and yard waste and pick up mulch. You can read more about the Borough's Compost Facility here.
