Mayor Shultz emphasized, “Borough Council is committed to keeping the process to fill the vacancy sound and transparent. Under the Sunshine Law, all interviews of prospective applicants and discussions by a majority of Council on this subject must be done at a public meeting of Council. This also applies to any committee of Council that could be tasked with interviewing or making recommendations of a candidate to Council as a whole. We encourage those Borough electors having an interest in serving our great community to submit their letters, applications, answers and accompanying resumes. We hope to see applications that reflect the tremendous diversity of our residents.”
Borough Council is planning to schedule a special meeting on the evening of January 27, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. to consider applications and interview applicants.
