Vote For Carlisle!

Carlisle has been nominated as a Best Historic Small Town by USA TODAY's 10Best! We are one of twenty communities vying for ten spots. You can vote once a day at https://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-historic-small-town-2022/carlisle-pennsylvania/.

Founded in 1751, Carlisle Borough is rich in history. Visitors can walk the same paths as those walked by George Washington as he tried to quell the Whiskey Rebellion. You can pay your respects to Revolutionary War heroine Molly Hays, better known as Molly Pitcher. The old courthouse in downtown Carlisle still bears the wounds of a Civil War attack.

Carlisle is also home to a large historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Stroll through the district and catch a glimpse of the intricate architectural details on the well-preserved buildings.

Voting is open until Monday, June 6.
