Tax season is here and the United Way of the Capital Region is once again offering free tax preparation services through the Money in Your Pocket Program (MIYP). The program aims to increase the use of the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit.

Families (2 or more people) who made $60,000 or less and individuals who made $45,000 or less in 2022 may be eligible to have their taxes prepared for free by trained volunteers.

There are several MIYP sites in Carlisle that will begin offering free tax preparation services on January 30.

• Employment Skills Center, 29 South Hanover Street
• Penn State Dickinson Law, 150 South College Street, Room 104
• The Professional & Educational Empowerment Center, 219 North Pitt Street
