Microsurfacing Set to Begin Week of August 12

Microsurfacing is scheduled to begin next week on several Borough roads as part of our annual Street Improvement Project. Microsurfacing is an application of a liquid asphalt/stone aggregate mixture coating over the road to extend its useful life. Microsurfacing cures quickly, allowing the roads to open to traffic much faster than with traditional paving.

Day 1:
Cherry Street from Route 74 to Southern end
Armstrong Road from Meeting House to Donegal
Northfield Drive

Day 2:
Glendale Street from Pomfret to south of South Street
West Pomfret from Ritner to Belvedere

Day 3:
Hill Place
Craig Lane

No Parking signs will be posted in advance of the work. We expect that access will be disrupted for no more than one day on any particular street.
