Vibrant and Diverse
Downtown Carlisle is vibrant and diverse. In just one block, you can grab a craft beer, buy a book, get your portrait taken, and wrap it all up with a delicious dinner.

Celebration in the Streets
The streets of Downtown Carlisle come alive several times a year with street festivals and parades, including the annual Ice Art Fest in the winter and Harvest of the Arts in the fall.
Dowtown Street Festival
First Fridays are held in the summer and fall and offer a showcase for all that downtown has to offer. In addition, Carlisle Events brings over 500,000 visitors each year for car shows and auctions. In the summer, Fords and Corvettes take center stage downtown for car parades.

Spirits are High
Cheers to Carlisle! The craft alcohol scene in Carlisle has been expanding at a rapid pace.  Our downtown is home to four breweries, a cidery, a wine bar, and a craft distillery.

Patron of the Arts
Carlisle is home to a burgeoning art scene. There are several galleries downtown, as well as the Carlisle Arts Learning Center. CALC, a non-profit, encourages creativity and self-esteem through exploration and appreciation of the arts. They offer scholarship programs, as well as a free Summer Art Camp at Hope Station.

Color Carlisle, a public art initiative, works with local artists to create public art throughout the Borough. In the summer of 2019, they facilitated the Art While You Wait project, where local artists painted traffic utility boxes downtown.

Art While You Wait

Affectionately known as the Crown Jewel of Downtown, the Carlisle Theatre Regional Performing Arts Center recently celebrated its 80th anniversary. The Theatre is dedicated to bringing films, live theater, and concerts to Carlisle.
