Founded in 1751, Carlisle Borough is one of Pennsylvania’s most treasured historic communities.  Located in picturesque south-central Pennsylvania, Carlisle’s history is rich, ideals are plentiful, and diversity abundant.

With a reputation as a growing and viable community, historic Carlisle continues to meet the ever-evolving economic needs of its citizens. Within easy walking distance of downtown Carlisle, a nurturing town/gown relationship has formed with Dickinson CollegePenn State’s Dickinson School of Law and the U.S. Army War College known throughout the United States and abroad.

Carlisle’s cultural environment is a diverse mix typified by its award-winning restaurants, downtown theater, historic sites, and multi-cultural events. One doesn’t need to venture outside the town’s limits to dine on world cuisine, discover artisans, experience unending entertainment, or enjoy recreational activities.
