Borough Ordinances

An ordinance is a rule or law enacted by a local government.

Borough Council may authorize the Borough Solicitor to draft and advertise ordinances.  Each draft ordinance is advertised in The Sentinel and a copy of the entire ordinance is kept on file in the Manager's Office as well as the Cumberland County Courthouse. After the ordinance has been drafted and advertised, Borough Council will hold a vote to approve the ordinance. If approved, ordinances then become part of the Borough Code.

The approved ordinances below were adopted after December 2023 and are not yet posted in the Borough's online Code.
