Door-to-Door Solicitation/Transient Vendor Permit Information
Door-to-door solicitation in the Borough of Carlisle is only authorized Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Anyone soliciting door-to-door in the Borough of Carlisle must possess a Transient Vendor permit and wear a yellow badge that shows “Carlisle Police Department Vendor Permit” with an assigned I.D. number.
In order to receive a Transient Vendor permit, an applicant must go through a criminal history check, pay an application fee, and wear the required badge.
If you would like to apply for a Transient Vendor Permit, you must provide a photo I.D., your social security number, and $22.00 for a background check to the Carlisle Borough Police Department at 240 Lincoln Street. If you have any questions, please call 717-243-5252, option 3
