The Community Co-Responder Program, the first of its kind in Cumberland County, aims to improve health outcomes for individuals with mental illness and substance use needs while maintaining and improving the quality of life for all.

Luray will serve individuals within Carlisle Borough who may need social or human services for a variety of needs, including, but not limited to, mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol, food and housing, and employment. She will work alongside uniformed and non-uniformed Borough departments and community stakeholders to connect those in need to the services that help them.

Luray has a passion for helping those with mental health needs. "I'm very, very, very, very excited about this opportunity, and I look forward to the changes I can make and what it will do for the community," Luray said. Luray comes to us from Franklin County Probation, where she served since 2016, helping adults establish housing, jobs, transportation, and life skills and ensuring they receive the support needed to avoid future incarceration. She also has experience as a life skills teacher and a teaching assistant for emotional and learning support students.
