2024 Trash Tags

Trash and recycling rates will increase in 2024 to align with the amounts charged by Waste Connections as part of our 2023-2025 contract. The quarterly rate will be $80.25 and the Trash Tag rate will be $7.92/each.

Starting in 2024, extra bags must have a green tag to be collected. Green tags are currently available for purchase at Borough Hall, 53 West South Street, and the Stuart Community Center, 415 Franklin Street. Online sales begin on December 22.

If you have unused yellow tags, you can exchange them for 2024 green tags by paying the $1.00 difference. Please note that we are only offering tag exchanges and not buybacks. Exchanges can be done at Borough Hall and the Stuart Community Center, 415 Franklin Street.
